The angels were with you. And I DO believe in the "things happen in threes." My family doesn't like to be in the kitchen with me after 2 disasters--they KNOW the 3rd can't be far behind. My mother has them, too, so do not feel alone. ((Hugs)) My KitchenAix mixer was bought in '88, and I keep waiting for a kerfuffle. So sorry that happened to you. I've tipped my KA over to read the numbers on the bottom and nearly dropped the darn thing - very heavy!! You have to clean the dust that accumulates on the feet every now and then.

True story - Rose Levy Beranbaum places a pencil in front of her KA while it's mixing bread dough. If the mixer starts walking towards the edge of the counter, the pencil will be the first thing to go crashing to the ground - when she hears the pencil fall, she runs to the mixer to keep it from doing the same. That little button that fell off the KA is where you can attach a lot of cool accessories. When my parents bought me my mixer 30+ years ago, they got accessories too... I've used the grater for slaw, shredded zucchini for bread, etc. Last Christmas I bought a KA for my daughter and I remember reading how to put a dime in the bowl to adjust the height. Of course, they expect you to have a clean bowl when you test it. Hope you have a better baking day tomorrow!Peghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08784695727082212481noreply@blogger.com
