Ina scores again with Peach & Blueberry Crumbles...Foodie Friday...

When little Oliver came to visit I made Ina's Peach and Blueberry crumbles recipe.  I did not have any ramekins so I baked it in a 8x8 Pyrex pan.  As a thank you gift the following week I received 8 of these Martha Stewart ramekins from Oliver and his Mom.

These ramekins enhance the presentation of this recipe.  The best thing about this recipe is that you can make them in the morning, store them unbaked in your refrigerator, and bake them just before your guests arrive.  We enjoyed them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The recipe can be found in BAREFOOT CONTESSA AT HOME cookbook or you can find this recipe HERE

If you would like to find more tried and true recipes please visit our hostess Michele at Foodie Friday HERE.

* Reminder to myself:  don't even think
about getting on the scale the next day!

  9. Thanks for visiting. l Yes that is my real kitchen. We remodeled about 5 1/2 years ago. It was quite contemporary before that and I have to credit my kitchen designer who is brilliant at design but a "Lost Boy" when it comesto business, but he finally got the job done. We had to add gas when we remodeled. The oven is electric and the top is gas. I love the gas. I was a little afraid as I grew up with the gas when I was little and we had a couple of mishaps, but it is so improved. Wolfe was the top rated and so we paid a lot more for it. I am not that thrilled. I have a Thermador at our cabin - just the stove top. My problem with the Wolfe is the oven. It takes forever to heat up and then the enamel on the inside has popped off. Nothing I can do as it would destroy the kitchen island to pull it out. Have fun remodeling. It is hard, but worth it. We put a small kitchenette in our basement to use while we remodeled and that worked really well.

  10. What a lovely, thoughtful gift! These sound delicious, but all the peaches I've been finding lately are too ripe for baking. They are so good for eating out of hand though, with the juice just running down my chin. Mmmmm……yummy. I've been living on those and boiled peanuts all week and just having soup for supper, lol.

I don't know if there's a Hobby Lobby in Kennesaw - probably. The one I go to is off the EW Connector in Austell (by Lowe's).

    Have a wonderful 4th!
