Soup Exchange...Mosaic Monday...

Today is Mosaic Monday hosted HERE by Mary at little red house blogspot. So head on over for more fun photos.

My daughter hosted a soup exchange including homemade breads Sunday afternoon. Each guest was asked to bring three one quart containers of homemade soup of their choice along with a copy of the recipe. One quart for sampling and two for exchange.

After all the tasty soups were sampled each guest picked a number to determine the order in which they would pick a soup to bring home. The last person to pick in the first round was then the first person to pick in the second round. It worked out well for everyone leaving with two different and delicious quarts of homemade soup. The general consensus is that they will definitely do another soup exchange next winter.

  1. Oh a soup exchange sounds great. I think I will get my girls into that. Nice mosaic too. We are all getting about the same weather right through the mid southeast. Rained here all day, with thunder and lightening. Can you imagine. Thanks for stopping by. Blessings

  5. What a nice idea this was! I never heard of a soup exchange before. Which lovely lady is your daughter Joyce?

PS Wasn't that a fun nickname for the burros? We were told they come up to the car looking for food. No such luck on our visit but the bison stopped traffic many times! :-)
