Summer Stock Sunday...It's been a summer of dreams...

Summer of 2009 has been a summer of dreams.

Dreaming of home runs.

Dreaming of giant peaches to bake in a pie.

Dreaming of finding the perfect spot on the beach.

Dreaming of quiet walks to the docks to sit and reflect.

Dreaming of the perfect catch.

Dreaming of sailing out of the harbor to far away places.

Dreaming about beautiful sunsets.

No matter what your dreams are I hope that your dreams become a reality.

Summer Stock Sunday...What lurks above and below?

Thank you Robin for hosting another fun Summer Sunday.

I found it ironic that someone was flying this shark kite next to the life guard this summer.

Remember when the movie Jaws came out in your movie theater back in the summer of 1975?

My sister-in-law was expecting her second child and was long over due so we went to see Jaws. We were hoping that by viewing the movie it would perhaps scare her into labor. No such luck! At one point in the movie we both jumped out of our seats and screamed at the top of our lungs. We always laugh at this memory.

I am sure that this flying shark kite scared the heck out of some little kids on the beach this summer. No matter what age you are, do you ever wonder what lurks beneath the surface of the water?

While walking on the beach on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina I came upon a crab who had attached itself onto a jelly fish or perhaps it was the other way around? I took this photo with my little pocket camera and wish I had the big camera but hey isn't that always the way?

WATER PLAY

Summer Stock Sunday..Hilton Head Farm...

Where is the month of July going already? I love the summer and am savouring every single minute. For more fun summer stock Sunday photos head on over and visit our lovely host Robin.

A few weeks back I posted about what was growing on the little farm on Hilton Head Plantation. The crops are maturing and there are colorful flowers for sale. I like to bike over to the farm stand on Saturday mornings to see what is being sold. I let the fresh fruits and vegetables dictate my weekly menu. Looks like a week with lots of yellow squash on our menu along with some juicy blueberries.
