Why am I doing the happy dance in my kitchen this afternoon?
It certainly is not over the color of my hair which I detest or the big gray/white roots that need a coloring desperately.
It certainly is not the fact that it is still FREEZING here in Atlanta and my heating bill is going to be sky high and I will probably have a stroke from lack of global warming.
It certainly is not about the fact that my nose still has issues with the very young Dr. Doogie Howser ENT.
I am doing the happy dance because I won a giveaway from April Harris at her wonderful blog
21st century housewife HERE.
Now go and have a look at Aprils blog for some fun reading and then onto cookware. com and for some fun shopping.
Now what do you think I should bake in this first?
Perhaps a treat for my hair colorist, or my electric meter reader, or some baby food for Dr. Doogie Howser?

Inquiring minds want to know.
Woohoo! It's always so much fun to win something! And to win Le Crueset, wow! I'm sure you'll bake up something yummy in it!

Thanks so much for your note. Hair appointments and other details can wait. You should get out in the "warmer" weather we're having and enjoy some sun! Tomorrow's high will be near 50 degrees!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your big win. What a terrific prize.
Congrats on the dish! I bet you'll end up using it a lot.

ReplyDelete(now I'm all jealous!)
I have never made a quiche in my entire life but they sure are good. Great dish for that I think...(thinking out loud here)
Hugs,
Mona
You lucky girl!! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Joyce ;DD
ReplyDeleteLucky you!!! Cook some good comfort food that will make you feel better in spite of the nose, the heat bill, and the hair color. I got Pioneer Woman's cookbook for Christmas and I love her lasagna recipe... easy, tasty, and uses the cheaper cheese.
ReplyDeleteNursery school is going well. Mommy tried a mother's day out last fall and it was a definite no-go. We were a drop out after only a month! But at age 2, we're ready to be social. Plus there are only 4 kids in the class... a little less intimidating. She cried when she had to leave!
Congratulations...you must be thrilled!!! I adore Le Creuset!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet visit earlier!!!
XOXO
Cathy

Hey Joyce,
ReplyDeleteI checked the recipe and it doesn't say why you lower the heat. This cake was so good. I saved what we trimmed off the top of the cake and refrigerated it, the next day I put strawberry cream cheese on it and it was delicious. Next time I am going to add pecans.
Thanks for looking....Joyce
Congratulations on winning. I'm with you - dreading the next heating bill. I hope you lots of fun with your new treasure. Rosie
