  12. Oh the beauty and the talent! It is overwhelming that people can make such wonderful quilts. I have made just one quilt..I took a class and chose my material (it was held in a material store) and began to make my family heirloom. Yes, well, by the time I had finished...I had GREAT respect for those that quilt and most especially those that quilt WELL as in the pictures you have posted! Simply amazing!!
I was cured from that day on. I never made another quilt but I cherish the one I have made..and when I am gone, I know my family will continue to talk about me and what I went through making that ONE quilt! :):)
    Hugs!

  13. Those quilts are such works of art. My maternal grandmother quilted and these remind me of her.

By the way, you asked about my fireplace paint. Here's a link to the brand we used. I used Clay Tan. http://www.exoticflames.com/xcart/home.php?cat=286

  16. Hi Joyce,
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and for sending me here to view these beautiful quilts. I just became a fast follower to your blog...I love it. I just went through every page!! All your recipes look so yummy and remind me of my family of cooks. My father's side is Portuguese, so very similar to your Italian family customs. Big family...lots of food. We're not far from your New York family..I'm in Rhode Island.
    Thanks again for stopping by,
