Icy treats for Blue Monday...

This is my first Blue Monday hosted by smilingsally.blogspot.com.
Head on over to see what other refreshing "TREATS" are in store for you today.

It was very hot at the Atlanta Braves gave yesterday and all the kids in the stadium were having these treats. They looked so refreshing. The kids were having so much fun sticking out blue tongues at the opposing team. The Mom's were all discussing how to get the blue stains off of the new baseball shirts the kids wore to the park. The Braves lost and the Astros won but a fun day was had by all the fans. Now I can't wait for a Yankee game as I am a big Yankee fan. What is your favorite treat at the park and who is your favorite team?
Inquiring minds want to know.

  2. As I was looking at the picture of the blue ices, before reading, I was thinking, "How do you get that blue off of clothes???" And then you said all the moms were discussing that, how funny. All moms think alike! I haven't been to a baseball game in years. We use to go to the Yankees every year when I was growing up. My dad would get these great seats right behind the dugout. He knew someone who worked in the baseball commissioner's office and they gave us free tickets every year. We would get a hotdog and soda, that's about it. But this was back in the 70's when you didn't eat as much as we all do now! Hubby took our son last year to a minor league game and he said the food was amazing. Sounds like you all had a great time!

  3. Sounds like a fun day at the park. Nalley loved sky blue popsicles in MI as a kid - I've never even seen one!

  4. Hello and welcome to your first Blue Monday! What a fun and creative post. Yes, "raspberry blue" is probably my least favorite "mom color" when it comes to laundry! LOL

My favorite baseball team...the St. Louis Cardinals. I'm a transplanted St. Louisan living in Kansas and finding it very difficult to form an allegiance to the very BLUE Kansas City Royals (although I think we may currently be winning some games early on this baseball season).

Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your kind comments. I am off to puruse your lovely blog!

    Blessings from Kansas,
    Valerie

  12. Yummm, they look so good! Great post and Happy Blue Monday!

Thank you for the sweet comments and for dropping by for a visit. I would have been so excited to find a long lost birdhouse, I'd probably do a jig! My hubby can't relate to my birdhouses either. ☺ Diane

  13. Oh I love blue slushies on a hot day! I was even thinking about buying a slushy maker this summer, and a whole bunch of flavored syrups. The blue ones make your tongue the same color, and you just feel like a kid to slurp one.

  14. Oh my I love Hawaiian shaved ice. If you've never had one, you have to try it if you have the opportunity. The ice is just the right thickness, not chunky like our classic sno-cones. The tropical fruit flavors are really good too instead of the too sweet syrup that the kids like.
I've been sugar-free for less than a week but I've already dropped a couple of pounds and YES I have already started dreaming about how nice it will be to dress like I want to instead of hiding the giggly bits.
I'm not a big baseball fan or any sports really but I'd have to root for the SF Giants if I had to pick one team.
So are you going to be cheering on the NY team while your fellow Atlantans give you the evil eye? I did that at a hockey game between the San Jose Sharks and the Florida Panthers. I'm from San Jose (live there now) but I was living in FL at the time. lol
Thanks for stopping by and visiting Sophie's Blue Monday post!

  15. A good old bubblegum snowcone brings back memories!...of stains :) We are diehard Braves fans although we live in an area where most people are St. Louis Cardinals fans. We enjoy the redbirds a AAA team here in Memphis. Thanks for a really blue Monday!
