Last night, my kids and I were sitting in the living room and I said to them,
"I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle.
If that ever happens, just pull the plug."
They got up, unplugged the Computer, and threw out my wine .
They are SO on my s*** list!
That is hilarious!!! I guess we should be careful in making those "end of life" comments!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband recently bet me that I couldn't go on vacation for a week without some form of computer. Of course I quickly argued that he was wrong but on the inside I knew he would win that bet!
Are there cameras in my home? LOL.....rings so true, so true.

HA .. good one ..
ReplyDeleteYes, it's funny.
ReplyDeleteBut it brings to mind something which isn't funny, in the least.
If you really feel this way [about NOT wanting to continue to live in a vegetative state] PLEASE say so in a Living Will or whatever. PLEASE!
We have.
Don't just avoid the issue, and hope it never happens. Because putting this decision on any family member, is cruel.
Please do the Make-It-Legal thing. Please tell ALL who will know, if it comes to this. Please do not put this burden on your family.
Gentle hugs...
By don't put the burden on your family, I mean... Made the decision yourself, while in sound mind and body. Then family does not have to make any decision to "pull the plug." YOU made it. Legally!
