I hear you...here in Raleigh NC it is hot and evening showers are not making a dent in the humidity...then our A/C unit died and we had to have it replaced yesterday...all taken care of now...I'm not melting anymore...lol
Welcome to my life. WE got up to 121 today. I brought home two plants from my office the other day. Only left them in the car 30 min. so I could pick up some groceries. One didn't survive the heat. And the other one is barely holding on. I had no idea that would happen. And people leave pets and children in the car when it is hot. What are they thinking? That heat certainly can't help with the itching. Hope the hives are all gone now. Best wishes, Tammy
Hi Joyce, Now that's hot! We get high temps in the wine country too. I don't like the heat at all, especially now with hot flashes! I'd love to help you decorate your beach house! Throw some questions at me, I'll give you my opinion. Sometimes that's all we need is someone else's opinion. Stay cool, Delores
Hi! Sorry to hear it! It's hot hear in Cola town (Columbia) too! Too hot! It's usually better down there at the beachs but I guess not this week. I have a friend who is at Tybee this week and she is saying the same thing! Too Hot! Stay inside and stay cool!
If anyone feels a real NEED to send chocolate, just divert it to my house. England is so cold you wouldn't believe it. Even we usually expect something better in the middle of June. So SEND CHOCOLATE so we can drink it as we crank up the furnace!
Ohhh, that's too hot. Come up here. It was about 75 today. But I was sweating loading a dumpster we got to clean out the garage, in which there has never been one car no less 2! We can't get rid of anything here. Everything has to go in a green bag at 3.75 a pop! Stay cool!
Are you kidding??!!! 110 degrees?! Yikes! That's insane! Our high today in Seattle was 57 degrees with lots and lots and lots of rain - downpours. I'm wearing my heavy coat and have my heat on. I don't know how anyone can stand that high heat. When it gets above 75 degrees here, I suffer. No kidding. I'm a big wimp when it comes to heat. We've had an extremely wet wet spring this year. I love the rain and I'm even surprised how much rain we've had.
Enjoy your heat! It must really suck baking when it's so hot outside.
Joyce just wanted to say that this is Flag week so you really were not late getting your flags out. Thanks for stopping by today. Think cool and keep your flags-a-wavin'... Joan
LOL! You won't get any sympathy from those of us down here on the Gulf Coast. Same weather here! Love your sunflowers! They just always say "summer" to me.
Hi Joyce, I thought it was hot here in California, but 110 this early in the summer is no fun. As I was reading through your blog, I read about your allergy episode. How awful for you! I hope you're feeling a lot better now.
First I have to tell you that your comment about our computer failures cracked me up! I think your Mr. Hottie and my Miss Awesome will bring us years of joyful blogging. (Don't they sound like they should meet?)
Well, I'm glad you don't need chocolate, because with everything that has happened since my move to Saint Marys, Georgia, I need all I can get for myself. Our heat index will only be about 105 today. Did I say only?
I'm slowly getting back in the blogging routine, so I had to read back a bit. Such a drag about the allergy, my son has that horrid peanut allergy and has had to carry an epi pen for years, but they are much better than calling an ambulance.
HH is about 2 1/2 hours south of me. I want to make a trip up there in the Fall, when the temps are lower, lol.

Oh wow! I'd be in an awful "state of affairs," with that kind of a heat index! Take care!
ReplyDeleteIt is 96 degrees here close to Atlanta today. I feel so sorry for those working outdoors in this heat/humidity. You stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm wilting in Atlanta! Heat index is 106! It's thundering with no rain so far.
