Wordless Wednesday...FREE Chicken...

July 10th is Cow Appreciation day. For more info please go HERE.

I had the following photo ready for Wordless Wednesday and then I saw this ad for free chicken on July 10, 2009 so I wanted to share this with all my blog friends. Ironic that I had chosen a Chick-fil-A photo this week. I live within walking distance to a Chick-fil-A and think they have some of the funniest billboards around town.

My photo speaks for itself and my waistline!

So do we have to wear a cow shirt???

  12. I showed the cow appreciation day website to Pa. He said he wouldn't mind dressing like a cow, but he doesn't like chicken.

  14. I'm with you, I love their billboards! Their whole ad campaign always makes me giggle. They have a location about two minutes from my house, but, and it looks like I'm the only one here who feels this way, I do not care for their food. In their defense though, I seldom eat fast food.

With that said, I will tell you a secret if you promise not to tell anyone else. Okay, everyone else, DO NOT READ THIS!

    I love, I mean I love………………Zaxby's!

I am so thankful the closest one to my house is over an hour a way and I have no reason to be in that area. But, when I go to Douglas, Georgia to visit family I always go to the one on Peterson and indulge.

P.S. Thanks for keeping my secret.

  16. Hi Joyce, Your blog sure makes me want to live in Georgia right now! Born in OK, there must be something in my blood that wriggles to get out of California! I'm also half Italian, half Irish - both families are great cooks, but did I inherit the gift? NOOOO...people run from the dinner table when I cook - LOL! Love your post on filling a shoebox for the troops. My tea club sponsors the Blue Star Moms in our area, and we fill shoeboxes, contribute money for shipping, etc. I'm going to make some baby quilts to donate as well. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your teapots on your blog, too! I DO love preparing food for teas, so I guess all is not lost!

  19. Oh, I love Chick-Fil-A! I'm not sure if I want to dress up like a cow for it, but nonetheless, it is my favorite fastfood restaurant.

Glad you liked the 'fly on the lemon' pic!

Your post made me hungry --- who wants to cook when there's a Chick-Fil-A I'll be passing on my way home today???

  25. Had to leave a comment on this post. The pic of the cow is so cute and love the saying. We had a big billboard in our town like the one in your pic and somebody stole the cows off of it for a gag. Boy did they get in trouble when they turned theirselves in.
