41st Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mtn. Park Georgia...

This weekend was the 41st Yellow Daisy Festival here at Stone Mountain GA.
Named for the Confederate Yellow Daisy which was discovered in 1846 on an outcrop of granite on Stone Mountain, by Rev. Thomas Porter, this is one of the largest juried shows in the S.E. The Festival runs from Thursday-Sunday. There is ample parking but go early in the AM to avoid huge crowds. There are approximately 200,000 visitors each year.

Cute handmade sign for Halloween.

Don't you just love these cute little eggs for the birds to nest?

These fun wooden trucks can be used as toys or banks and can be personalized with name and birthday.

I would love one of these china bird feeders for my flower garden.

These colorful metal flowers would be so pretty along a walkway.

Whimsical stained glass animals.
This little guy made everyone smile!

These little dragons hatching out of their shells made me laugh but made my grandson run for the hills but in this case the Stone Mountain!

Who does not love a fat cat and a chalk board too?

Delicate pink Christmas flower angels for your tree.
These were so pretty.

Tiny glass pumpkins in every color of the rainbow.

Bird house cathedrals.

A broom making demonstration.

Come fly with me on a magic broom.
It sure beats sweeping!

Free samples.
Pumpkin and blueberry flavors were delicious.

Can you guess what this is?
It is an old fashion contraption to make
F L O U R!
Buckwheat flour was for sale to make pancakes.

Hope to see y'all at the 42nd Yellow Daisy Festival next September!

I'll be in Douglasville for Thanksgiving this year and I'm hoping there is something like this going on, rather than hitting the Black Friday sales again!
